CLIENT Vodafone IOT

A man wearing glasses, a dark cap, and a black jacket with a 'KONE' logo, standing in an elevator, looking at his smartphone with a view of an urban landscape outside the window.
A person wearing a black jacket and cap standing near an escalator inside a modern building, possibly an airport or shopping mall.

THE CHALLENGE

For over a decade, Vodafone and KONE have worked together to integrate IoT connectivity into KONE’s products, enabling real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance across nearly 100 countries.

The brief was to produce a film that reflected the scale and sophistication of this partnership. The challenge was to combine technology storytelling with authentic insight into KONE’s business, showing how Vodafone IoT helps them keep people moving safely and efficiently all around the world.

A man wearing a dark jacket, cap, and glasses is standing indoors, looking at a smartphone. He is near a large glass window revealing an elevator mechanism inside, with a reflection of himself visible against the glass. There is a red fire extinguisher sign on the wall behind him.
Aerial view of a modern hospital complex with multiple buildings, a parking lot filled with cars, and a tall observation tower with the word "KONE" written vertically on it, under a partly cloudy sky.
A modern glass building with the word 'KONE' on the window, reflecting the city skyline and sky, with a construction crane and green trees in the background.

THE CREATION

This production took us to Helsinki, Finland for a two-day shoot. In pre-production we worked closely with KONE to understand their business and customer needs, making sure every decision – from interview content to B-roll – aligned with their priorities of efficiency, safety and global scalability.

Filming on-site at KONE’s Headquarters, in city locations and their research & development centre, we captured footage of elevators and escalators in action alongside interviews with senior stakeholders. Our shot planning was designed to highlight both the precision of KONE’s engineering and the human impact of seamless mobility in everyday life – we even got the drone in the air to highlight the scale of the operations in Helsinki.

All planning, logistics, filming and editing were delivered by ID2 Media, ensuring consistency from start to finish.

THE OUTCOME

The finished film positioned Vodafone as a trusted global partner supporting KONE’s digital transformation, while reflecting KONE’s business and customer priorities.

Through clear storytelling and strong production values, the film showed how IoT connectivity is helping KONE deliver smarter, safer and more sustainable urban mobility. The result was a piece that balanced global scale with human relevance, showing how two leading companies are working together to shape the future of connected infrastructure.
